Dang its been almost 1,000 days since I joined xanga...thats forever ago. In that regard I am going to show you what I wrote 2 years ago:

Wow I haven't updated for real in awhile...well some cool stuff has happened. First off, I started my job at Mervyn's yesterday and I really like it...I mean I'm tired and my feet hurt but it seems like it'll be an easy job. I work again tomorrow and Monday nights, which should be good...lots of money already hehe

Um I had my brass, voice, woodwinds finals and my jury last week, all of which went well. I also auditioned for symphonic band on flute and then the next day on piccolo (both to the request of Fisher). He seemed happy with both and I still have hopes...everyone in the band knows what they made except me and two other flute guys....I hope I'll find out Monday. Prayers would be appreciated  OH and after my flute audition, I was offered the job for Wind Studies librarian next semester with Elmo...3 jobs?!?! I can do it

Benita, a girl in my community group, had a surprise goodbye party Thursday and it was sad to think I won't see her anymore. She's such a great Christian and a wonderful girl...we'll miss her like whoa

I've been trying to get everything organized in my life lately. I was walking around campus the other day and I was praying and thinking what a wonderful day it was outside. All of a sudden I was overcome with the feeling that I am supposed to be at and STAY at UNT. Those of you who are close to me know I have been struggling with whether or not to do my grad work at UNT or TCU. I think that may have been a step toward UNT. Plus I have been rationalizing about it lately:

UNT: friends already here, I'm well established within the College of Music and otherwise, I have good contacts with my directors and the TA's, my grades here rock, I have a place to live here, I have a church here, I have a wonderful group of girls in my community group, I know a lot of Christians here who can keep me accountable, I have jobs here, I like marching band here, I might be moving up in ranks in concert bands, and lastly, its cheap here.

TCU: friends there, I like the campus and Ft Worth as a city, the marching band is way cool too, they have a lot of school spirit, I can MAKE money while going through my grad degree, and a change would be nice.

So those are my pros right now. I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm continuing to pray about it and God will show me the way soon enough I'm sure   Just thought I'd catch everyone up on where I am with all that.

I am also going through another decision right now that I may have come to some of you about. I'm still trying to figure out what will be best for me and the person I needed to talk to about it is giving me time...so thats good. Anyway, only other thing really going on is that I am obsessed with Alias and have been watching it constantly. I LOVE IT

2 exams left.....New Orleans soon....BIG paycheck comin....Christmas lights up and our house is decorated...God is GOOD to ME.....I am lovin life  Have a wonderful weekend, good luck on exams, and GOD BLESS!!!

I feel so old. Seriously, I do. Wow that was way back when and I was living with Kate (who is now married and lives in Florida) and Camille. I am SO old. I know 22....but I don't feel like a "college aged" person anymore. My college friends are still havin fun and livin it up....me? Teachin. But seriously, I love it so much. The kids are incredible and I have so much fun with them! They name their instruments....we wrapped my door in Christmas paper and have a contest with the orchestra on who can have more bows on the door...and on the other side of the door we have band aids covering it....cause thats what they call us...Band Aids...I guess thats like the new and improved Band Nerd. Anyway I like it. The kids also have been so fun lately cause we have our first 6th grade concert and they are lovin it. I am conducting "Surfin USA"....wheee! Nah, its funtimes.

I miss everyone a lot. Especially Jayme...and Bridget....and Christy....and Marlo, Kayla, Mel, Deyonna, Reena....and a ton more of music friends....Chris Meredith...Dale...Sarah....SAI girls....geez. It's been too long.

So as you can tell, school's awesome and I love it. Luis and I are good too...goin on 15 months. P&P forever  I love you sweetheart...if you will even read this....I'll ask you to haha.

Well I'm out....I had no sectionals this afternoon cause of the snow, so I'm gonna lay and watch TV.....SO funtimes. Love yall and God bless!

This weekend was pretty awesome! Friday night I stayed in and watched a ton of Sex and the City and ate some OTB...my favorite night-in behavior! Saturday I met up with Keith and Chris Meredith to go to BOA Arlington for prelims. Hebron did really well and I was SO incredibly proud of Luis and his band. Other sweeeeeeeeeet bands: Reagan, Churchill, Marcus, Richland and Bell. I was really impressed with the shows and the GE stuff was amazing. Came back home afterward, got some Chinese for dinner, and relaxed with Sex and the City. Late Saturday Luis came over and we got to spend some time together (its a rare thing these days). Sunday we spent the day together again cleaning his apartment, relaxing, watching TV/movies, and getting a Fat Straws! (our fav!) We also saw Madagascar at the dollar theater.

Today was a definite Monday. Everyone was kinda chatty, didn't sound too good, and I actually lost my voice toward the end of the day! Key signatures are so hard to teach to 6th graders, but I'd rather them learn now than in the 9th grade heh. There are a few kids I totally adore and I am SO lucky that they always tell me how cool I am and how much they love band, cause some of those other kids are not so funtimes....

Well I'm off to watch some TV, play with Twink, and get to bed early. Have a good night!! God bless
